CT Member Spotlight ... Jennifer Halleck

Name: Jennifer Halleck aka Just Jennifer

A few of my favorite things: There are so many! The smell of lilacs and fresh cut grass, sleeping in, reading a good book, scrapbooking (of course), taking pictures, eating out, scuba diving (it's been awhile though!), rock climbing (also been awhile!), horseback riding, hanging out with the family, watching movies, buying things :)

How I started scrapping: I started scrapbooking when I got back from my honeymoon in November 1997. My SIL introduced me too it and I had a friend that scrapped too. I never really did much of the CM stuff though!

Products and embellishments I can't live without: I love all the Tim Holtz distress inks (although I don't use them to their stunning potential), and all sorts of patterned paper! I'm a bit of a paper snob!

My favorite scrappy tool is: Lately I couldn't scrap without my ATG gun... but I also love my new Tim Holtz scissors and ruler. And my Threading Water punch is a new fave!

What I do for inspiration: Browse the messageboards! Or just start playing with the pictures and papers!

CT Member Spotlight Laura Lee

Sorry I am a day late on my post and I haven't had a chance to do the sketch yet because of a family emergency.

A few of my favorite things:

My family, teaching, scrapbooking, the smell of honeysuckle on a summer night and the purr of a kitty when I am trying to sleep, and of course chocolate!

How I started scrapping: With a mail order kit by Leisure Arts called Memories in the Making in 1997. It came with a book, some stencils, a pigment marker and lots of really ugly paper! I tried my best with the monthly kits, but it wasn't until a friend showed me the Scrapbook aisle at Michael's did I really get into scrapping in 2001.

Products and embellishments I can't live without: PAPER, brads, buttons, flowers, and anything fun!

My favorite scrappy tool is: My Die cut machines and my Making Memories Trimmer, I love it!

What I do for inspiration: Use the picutres to come up with a title and then I look around my room. I have sooooooooooooo much stuff. If that doesn't do it, then I hit galleries and my many magazines and idea books!

My three favorite layouts:

Ok, so this one isn't my most favorite, but it does have young pictures of my kids on it that I truly love! :)

This is one of my most favorite layouts that I have ever done and you know when a layout clicks when it takes less than an hour to do. :) Black and White layouts are usually very hard for me, but this one was just fun!

This one is a Becky Fleck Page Map, love the design and the picture of Zoe...she is just a little doll! The Basic Grey was just so perfect for this.
